CHAIRMAN APPOINTED - JULY 2009

Renowned financier - Dr Peter Klaus has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Jordan Energy & Mining. A graduate in Economics with a doctorate in Political Science, Dr Klaus spent 35 years with KfW, Europe's largest development bank, rising to managing director. He retired from the bank in 2007 and is currently a member of the supervisory boards of Thyssenkrupp Technologies and Lufthansa Technik, among others.
