This exciting programme of research will look to enhance the environmental and economical credentials of producing oil from shale and aims to deliver fuels with a reduced carbon footprint.
Managing Director, Chris Morgan, said that "In choosing Durham University's Earth Sciences Department we feel that we have access to the brightest minds of the academic world and have high hopes for this programme of research." The programme aims to provide a deeper understanding and enhanced knowledge of oil shale processing that will ultimately lead to a reduction in the impact of oil shale processing.
